Javits Convention Center

You are cordially invited to attend  3 keynote lecture presentations by CUVISM Collagist, George Sakkal,  to be given at Art FAIR at Javits Convention Center (in New York)  on November 18 and 19, 2011 at 3PM and November 20 at 2 PM.

Since  1980 "new knowledge" discoveries made in the fields of cognitive psychology and neuroscience when applied, adapted and compared to the theory of art as advanced by Marcel Duchamp and his followers expose it  to be invalid. This theory that for the past fifty years has been accepted by art's establishment as "truth" is nothing more than fiction.

Beginning nearly half a century ago the academic establishments in the United States and then in Europe championed Marcel Duchamp as a great intellectual visionary. They have incorporated the principles of his theory of "concept" art into art curriculum and commenced teaching it to arriving students while providing graduate guidance in its application for advanced degrees in fine art; encouraging academic pursuits involving a theory of art that is substantially without substance and that bears virtually no resemblance to human creative functionalities. If the perpetuation of this damaging academic ignorance was analogous, it would be equivalent to teaching the geocentric theory to students of astronomy and the theory of intelligent design to students of evolution.

Culturally, western society is experiencing its greatest regression since the loss of human self awareness during the middle ages. Sakkal's lectures at ART FAIR are intended to bring this pernicious era of the theory of Duchampian postmodernism to an end.
